The Town of Farmville’s Finance Department is located at 3672 North Main Street in the Municipal Building. The offices are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Holidays excluded.
For customer convenience, the Town operates a drive-thru window during regular office hours and offers an after-hours dropbox, which is located just beyond our drive-thru window for collecting payments. Billing stubs should be enclosed with payments. For security purposes, please do NOT deposit cash. Payments received in the dropbox before opening time on the next day (7:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. Friday) will be considered prior-day payments.

The Town of Farmville has contracted Pitt County to bill all property taxes within the City Limits.

Town of Farmville Tax Rate
FY 2021/2022 Budget: 0.49%
Tax notices are mailed out to taxpayers on July 31st or August 1st. Taxpayers are offered a 1% discount if bills are paid by August 31st. Bills are considered delinquent after January 5th of the following year. Once delinquent, bill amounts accrue 2% interest on January 6th and ¾% monthly thereafter.

- Are you at least 65 years of age or totally & permanently disabled?
- Is your income less than $31,900?
If you answered YES to these three questions, you may be eligible for homestead property tax relief. The appraised value of your residence can be reduced by the greater of $25,000 or 50% of the appraised value of the residence.

Applications are due in January; however, you may file through June 1st.
